Then plain, old-fashioned, broken-hearted girl tries out a new look and transforms into a sexy, head-turning lady. At the back of her mind, she thinks: “If he sees me now, he’ll be sorry!”

Good if he regrets breaking up with you, but what if he does not? He’s not sorry he gave you up. He doesn’t really care much that you lost your confidence when he turned you down…

At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what he thinks. Every woman has to be her own self. Be who she really wants to be, be the person she’s happy to be.

To all the ladies who have had their heart broken, I know it’s hard. But we cannot let the pain of the past keep on hurting us today and tomorrow.

If he didn’t see you as the one he wants to spend the rest of his life with, then he is not the one for you. See the rejection as a blessing, a sign that you have placed your heart in the wrong hands. And it’s good that it’s over so you can get your heart back (or whatever’s left of it), nurture it again, so you can give it to the person to whom it was truly meant for.

There’s so much more to life that I want to see and know. Living near Metro Manila, I see more built-up areas, some well-planned while others, hmm, no comment. I’d like to see more of nature’s wonders, and humans’ ingenuity.

And I’d like to dance. See, when you do research and documentation, you don’t move a lot. While I like what I do, I have to admit it does not fill my every need, especially my need for self-expression.

Hope to be able to do both SOON!

But yesterday, I chose not to escape. Or maybe, I really couldn’t run away from it anymore.

The pain is emotional. But it is also physical. Your chest feels heavy, you feel pain. You try to play a game, but you still feel the pain. You try to do the many things you still have to do, and you still feel the pain. You write while in pain, you read while in pain, you try to work while in pain, you try to be caring to your loved ones while in pain.

Then, before sleeping, you try to dream of a better life, while still feeling the same pain.

A part of me is saying I dont want to feel this pain anymore. But then, it’s the kind of pain you feel only because you have loved, and continue to love.

So I guess I am blessed to be capable of feeling and living through such pain, knowing I have loved and I continue to love the people who matter to me.

1. It’s possible to commute from Cainta and reach Albang Town Center in less than 2 hours! You just have to leave the house by 530am =)

2. Maps are not perfect… Minsan may intersections na nakalagay, pero in real life, they don’t exist.

3. Sometimes, people are kind enough to let in innocent-looking, female strangers into a middle-upper class house to help them. We were supposed to go to the CRM-Daang Hari intersection (sabi kasi sa map meron) when at the end of CRM, and before we even reached Daang Hari, we found ourselves facing the subdivision’s wall.We had to take a photo of the area beyond the wall (prospective area of growth sana namin yun). My groupmates, since they couldn’t see beyond the wall, were attempting to take shots of what lies on the other side. (Imagine them, raising their cameras, taking shots of… whatever the camera can capture–which would most likely be grasses, leaves, grasses, grasses, and sky.)  Fortunately, a man living in the big house beside the wall, seeing what my groupmates were trying to do, let us into the house and led us to the 2nd floor patio, and we were able to take decent pictures of the other side of the wall.

4. Mahirap pala talaga magplano ng built-up area. Mas fun kapag empty land; pero kung tipong city tapos ang dami nang developments, medyo nakakahilo. Kung pwede ka lang sana mag-uproot ng subdivisions, establishments, roads–lahat na, tapos start all over again! Naisip ko tuloy, nakakasakit pala talaga ng ulo maging planner…

Buti na lang nung pauwi na, may shuttle from las pinas to ayala… Para kasing nagsisimula na kong magka-migraine…

Saludo ako sa mga planners na di sumusuko sa paniniwalang may pag-asa pa rin ang Pilipinas!
